Here is how i put together my simple but impactful diy mirror frame.
Putting frame on bathroom mirror.
I had originally thought i was going to go with a more detailed trim to frame out the mirror but after i checked cost on the trim i wanted to use my mirror was big and reconsidering i decided to go with a more basic clean look.
In this case the mirror was 84 x 36.
Cut the corners on the frame square if using plinth blocks or at a 45 angle if mitered.
Let dry on non stick paper for 12 hours before installation.
Framing strips apply to existing mirrors with included double faced tape squares plus adhesive glue which can be purchased separately.
Measure the outside dimensions of the frame so it overlaps the mirror.
With this size i knew i wanted to frame it with 1x4 for good proportions.
However there was one problem.
Acrylic mirror strips measure 60 in.
Apply at least two coats of paint to wood that will be used as frame for your bathroom mirror.
It seems like such an easy diy that practically anyone could do and makes such a dramatic difference.
I could have gone.
We put our mirror together like this.
All for under 30.
When putting in the last piece it should fit like a puzzle nice and tight.
Apply paneling adhesive to area where top frame piece will be positioned.
My mirrors are attached with those pesky little metal clips.
